Taranta is a light fixture that captures the beating heart of Salento folklore, illuminating the history and myth of an ancient tradition. The name "Taranta" derives from the tarantula, the spider whose bite, according to popular belief, triggered a state of unease and agitation in women. The only remedy, legend has it, was to enter a trance and dance the pizzica until exhaustion, freeing body and spirit from the poison. This light fixture echoes the rhythmic geometry and circular movements typical of the dance, creating a hypnotic play of light and shadow thanks to the E14 bulbs. Crafted from white painted wood and handcrafted, Taranta is perfect for those who want to bring an authentic fragment of Apulian culture into their home or commercial spaces. It's more than just a lamp: it's a luminous tale of music, passion, and rebirth. Handmade in Puglia.
